After nearly four years on the knitting needles, I am delighted to "model" my poncho! Ta Da!
If you are wondering why basically a straight stockinette stitched piece took so long, just one answer: there were indeed more days than not that I did not knit! I finished the poncho Sunday during my monthly Friendstitching gathering; t'was nice to have their applause!
From the reading queue: I'm still finishing Inspector Gamache - A Rule Against Murder...hoping to end it by end of month. Tuesday past, my Recent Reads group met and I added two more fiction titles: Lincoln in the Bardo - a Man Booker Prize Winner and Attica Locke's Bluebird, Bluebird. My goal for 2018 is to read at least one fiction title a month...so far, I'm on track and these two should take me through May...providing I like them. I don't finish a book if I don't like it...I've also at least five non-fiction works in various stages of progress, always. Recently I've been reading a lot on mindfulness - my 2018 word focus.
Döstädning continues...I expect to have completed the paper purge by Sat 7 April - the next monthly shred day!
Joining Kat and others for this week's unraveled wednesday. Look for links to other's posts in the comments.
Cheers~
