Not quite a month ago, the hot water tank tanked! Preceding that, March/April's raucous winds have necessitated 1- a new roof and 2- a new fence. Tomorrow - weather permitting - the roof's to be replaced - and the fence...soon! We just need to decide on what we want.
Last night - a flood under the sink. Today, verification that the garbage disposal, just a mere 13 years old, had overstayed its welcome. Tomorrow, in addition to the the roof, the garbage disposal will be replaced!
I expect before summer officially arrives that another item or more will be added to the "replace me now" list...most likely, my car. Dare I say that out loud? My car is nearly 15 years old, doesn't have that many miles...150K +/-... but, I've already replaced the front brakes this winter...
And if not the car, perhaps the washing machine...it too is 13 years old! I could list all the new appliances we installed when we built the addition but I think I'd best leave well enough alone - considering we've already replaced the microwave oven and the dishwasher - the latter which was not that heavily used.
Allegedly, things (read household, etc) wearing out is good for the economy and jobs...yeah, maybe!
Monday, I got Elias' quilt back from the long-arm quilter; I think I'll stitch the binding on...before my sewing machine decides it's overstayed its welcome, too. Geez, hope I didn't jinx it!
Cheers~
