Many of us are undoubtedly familiar with Andrew Wyeth's painting Christina's World. Earlier this Fall, my friends Margaret and Doris - two of the four Recent Reads quartet traveled - to The Brandywine River Museum to view the exhibit organized to mark the 100th anniversary of Wyeth's birth.
As a follow up to their trip, our friend Adele (who is in Ohio) suggested that Margaret read Christina Baker Kline's novel: A Piece of the World. She did and she shared...not only the novel but also photos from Andrew Wyeth: In Retrospect by Audrey Lewis (she's curator at Brandywine).
Margaret's sharing certainly captured my attention and piqued my interest. So, I'm adding the novel to my 2018 Fiction titles "to read" list...and possibly, a "road trip" to Brandywine ... a quick Google search shows lots of quilt (and yarn) shops in the area. Hmmm...
Currently, I have at least 10 books at various stages of "in progress" and my "want to read" list grows - not that I've added any titles to my goodreads account. NTS: Do that! I have begun the fourth Inspector Gamache novel: A Rule Against Murder.
Not much knitting or stitching done over the past few days...preoccupied with a more pressing matter aka car emission test...
Joining Kat and others today; do drop over...
Cheers~
