Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
~ Albert Camus
A wind has blown the rain away and blown the sky away and all the leaves away, and the trees stand. I think, I too, have known autumn too long.

Last week Monday, when I went to my weekly quilting meeting, I took the two pictures on the the left of the collage. Imagine my surprise when I arrived today and surveyed the landscape...the trees and flowers nearly all bare, save for an errant leaf or petal here-n -there. The photos on the right of the collage - a result, no doubt, of the rains and extreme cold - temps in the 20s - we experienced over the weekend.
What a difference a week makes! But whatever, both sets of photos are beautiful ... and I am eternally grateful that my eyes have witnessed the wonder and glory of Nature, yet again.
Cheers~
P.S. Did you notice the butterfly on the flower?
