Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! Today has been nearly perfect, if not better than perfect (can that be?). Following a stunning early morning MSQT and journaling session, the day just got better!
I saw:
- a bird sitting on the wire...
- couple innings of the Cubs/Nats game - Nats lost...
- a mother and her young son - maybe 5-6 years old - on scooters; fun!
- colorful Dashikis and other African fabric clothing on sale, on the Avenue...
- a few minutes of a CAPOEIRA ; this YouTube video gives a good look...
I:
- joined an online scrapbooking session and played with watercolors and salt...
- went to the Post office and grocery store...
- bought a lemon-ricotta cheese muffin for tomorrow's breakfast (so good) and pizza/champagne for tonight - it's the first of the month and I try to restrict myself to this indulgence once a month - or else I'd probably eat them every week! I do balance with a healthy green salad!
- took a walk and on my way to Zeke's, returned two books to the library - neither of which I've read; I'll get them later...
- finished another chapter of Olive Kitteridge - two left...
- remembered a fun "summer reading list" featured in The Washington Post last year - I thought I'd saved the spread but if I did, I must have thrown it away. The above photo is my attempt to reproduce the concept - these are books I'm currently (today) dipping into and/or about to finish - excpet the Knitting one, a real tome; discovered it in my library this morning looking for the Washington Post list!
The best part of today is the forecast promises at least four MORE days almost as great! I'm not complaining!
Cheers~
