And what is so rare as a day in June? Then, if ever, come perfect days ~ James Russell Lowell
June may be my favorite month or is in close competition with September. Today has been the best example of why, as illustrated by the two photos and the quote, my most absolute favorite - one I've read every year, for decades.
Today, I had a leisurely morning and spent the afternoon with friends, stitching, talking, relaxing. My crystal ball for the month promises more leisurely days characterized by long walks, good books to read and music to listen to, knitting and stitching and gatherings with friends and family to celebrate birthdays, Father's Day.. and gratitude that we are all alive and well. And, perhaps I'll throw in a storage room declutter...if I get 'roun to it.
