Happy May Day 2017! My week, last week was busy, busy with my quilting group's biennial quilt show. Mail was sparse- no new books or other surprises (unless one wants to count the 'sugar ants' that have invaded the kitchen in the past couple days).
Today, 1 May - the 121st day of 2017. 244 days til Mon, 1 January 2018. There are all sorts of events and holidays that occur today 1 May. But only one has absolute significance for me: Six months ago, to date, on 1 November 2016, I began posting daily during National BlogPosting Month - NABLOPOMO. At the end of November 2016, I decided to keep posting daily through 2017 NaBloPoMo, November 30, 2017.
Today marks my 183rd consecutive post. Will I succeed in reaching my goal? Only time will tell! I do know that as I pen this post, I fully intend to keep at it. Circumstances beyond my control and especially any that leave me no options are the only obstacles I can foresee. There are days that find me scraping the bottom of the barrel (aka my mind) for an idea, a thought worthy enough to turn into a post. Most days, though, I am satisfied with my sharing of thoughts, ideas, inspiration and life's details.
I do so appreciate your joining me on this experience; thank you. And do connect with Sian, From High in the Sky for other's weekly sharing of their mailbox (or other sources) surprises.
Cheers~
*About the quilt: Springtime is a busy time for quilters in the area; most quilting groups have their annual quilt shows. Prior to the show, the groups take their quilts to other quilt groups' regular meetings and sell raffle tickets. This is one such quilt - on display today at my quilt group's meeting - by a group whose show is June 10-11. Naturally, I bought a ticket. All of the flowers are hand appliquéd and the quilting was done by an expert long-arm quilt artist! Click on the photo to enlarge to see the glorious detail!
