Sitting on my design wall, ready to deliver in a couple weeks for the biennial quilt show...two intuitively designed and stitched quilts, products of workshops at Sisters OR , 2013 and 2914, respectively. The great thing about stitching: never any rush...I think the attached numerals are display location markers - in other words, they let the people who are hanging the quilts know where to put them...I think.
One of my favorite trees is the Japanese Maple; there is one planted in the front yard and I so enjoy seeing it bloom in the spring. Today, we had high, gusty "March style " winds, no mind that it is April. Oft times when I sketch something, I also attempt to write an Haiku...I think this one is one syllable over...but who's counting? This is apart of my #the100dayProject...it is slowly taking form in my mind as well as in "real life." Eventually, I shall translate this as a stitched piece, also...
No Journal Club today...we are on a break til May. Instead, I cleaned out the refrigerator, mopped the kitchen floor, and went to the grocery store. A good way to spend a windy Friday! C'est la vie!
And how was your Friday?
Cheers~
