And so, Week in the Life comes to a close. I have taken many photos and learned a lot about using my iOS iPad & iPhone 6+ this week; think I'm going to borrow my sister's DSLR and try my hand with it. The weekend was quiet; weather - quite lovely and spent doing things we love to do: talking and/or seeing family, friends; watching baseball; stitching; walking; relaxing and appreciating. I share some of the highlights.
Sat 22 August
We slept for two nights straight with the A/C off! Welcome lower humidity and cool mornings. What a treat.
Left border flowers basted…next: hand appliqué stitching!
Leaves are falling …I was surprised to see so many on the ground so early…or is it early?
I look at "this tree" every morning and I'm beginning to see signs that it's changing for the season…soon, the branches will be bare...
Sunday 23 August
Not a cloud in the sky Sun AM…just jet trails...
Baseball games are a staple…any day of the week...
Monthly Stitching Sunday off to a delicious start: egg with diced ham casserole and fresh fruit...
Raiding my friend Pat's stash for possible fabrics to use in my Baltimore Album quilt...
Theresa's flying fingers...
Barbie's counted cross- stitch...
Pat and Margaret (Mother & Daughter) are working on a year-long block of the month embroidery stitched blocks - these are among the first. Fun!
Me - beginning to hand appliqué the Flower Garden border; definitely to be continued...
Back to School tomorrow - Mon! Kayla starts her freshman year in high school! I have greeted her on the first day since she started preschool, ten years ago! Guessing this will be my last time until she goes to college…
And thus, the end of this Week in the Life. It's been fun and I'm ready now for the next step: putting the album together. But first, we - Pat, Diane and I - are off to a quilt shop or two Monday, just as soon as I say hi to Kayla. More adventure awaits.
Cheers~
