The sounds of August on a Saturday: crickets; a bird; car horn; airplane. Sights of August on a Saturday morn: slight breeze; shadows; blue sky…it's going to be a lovely day!
I am eating a semi soft-boiled egg and white toast - first of the latter I've had since whenever! I don't normally eat white bread - or much bread, at all, unless it's pizza! But today is different; my tummy is semi-upset. So, I'm hoping the egg, toast, and applesauce will be OK.
Sitting here, deck door wide open, enjoying this quiet Sat morning. Reading: How to Save Your Life: One Chapter At A Time. The subtitle: A step by step guide to creating a life story book. Essentially, the book's a guide/workbook; sensible; practical; very well-organized, visually appealing. Both Norman and I, independently, decided to write our memoirs this year; I think this book's going to be a great assist.
As I'm reading and processing, I am reminded of two stories:
- When I was in high school and home sick with a really. bad. cold, my mom fixed me shrimp for lunch…cause I wasn't feeling like eating. We had snow up to our ears and I was hoping to get better so I could go to some school dance… So, did I go or not?
- The stainless utensils I'm using this morning is the only place-setting I have left; I've had this silverware for 51 years. Lots of knives, forks, serving utensils left but only one spoon! Wonder whatever happened to them?
I'll read a bit more and then move on to my other project: stitching the Flower Garden borders; I have come up with a new plan and I'm eager to prep for it.
Have a great weekend!
Cheers~
