Once a month, several friends and I gather for some friendstitching. We eat brunch, catch up on and with one another and spend a leisurely time sharing and stitching - knitting included. We look forward to these Sundays: what better way to unwind from the week before and prepare for the week ahead than with good food, good friends and good stitching? Works for me!
Yesterday, I stitched on the above needle case. Made of wools, it features new-to-me and/or I've forgotten how to make all these fancy stitches…
When it's finished, it will fold up like this:
I will add a decorative button or some type of closure. I think my needle case is fun and it compliments my "Lion King" inspired fabric appliqué lap-stitching pillow, that I also made.
And now that it's Monday, I think it's time for me to get on with my major project for the next couple days: destashing my stash - primarily scrapbook supplies. A good project for this week's 95+ degree days, with, of course, some slow stitchin' thrown in every few hours…
What's on your agenda this week?
Cheers~
