Recently, on a whim, I bought a new wooden word: garden, for my sewing studio. Truly, I needed not another thing for this space but it called to me: Honoré. Honoré...
When I looked around the studio for a place to put my new word, I realized I have quite a growing garden of words: journey; quilts; accomplish; simplify; enjoy; inspire; read; heart; today; begin; "ancora imparo" (I am still learning ~ Michelangelo); and Vugs (virtual hugs) from my former VA and a dear friend. Some of the words represent my words of focus from previous years. Each, in its own way, tells a story - my 2014 word.
About this time of year, I find myself thinking about my word for the upcoming year. I think this happens because some experience, lying dormant, has been awakened by a new connection, interaction. I don't think I'm ready to commit to a 2015 word but I do know that there are a few that keep popping up in my mind's garden...
Do you, too, find yourself contemplating a new word about this time of year?
Cheers~
