9:10 am. Waiting. Poised. Pen @ hand. iPhone timer ticking down. Journal ready...3:39 minutes to go. On iPad screen, Alexa's post today, with more thoughts and a PDF on her idea, to capture and document a few simple moments on 9:15 on the 15th of the month: 9/15. It's so quiet now - I can hear the pen skipping across the page, as I write. Excited. Heart racing. Why? Such a litttle thing but I want to be exact, as best I can with this experiment. Seems it is a perfect prompt for an art journal page, a scrapbook layout, a photo - catch the iPhone and iPad images, too...
9:15 am. There it goes...timer sounds off; I have the Marimba ring tone. Quick, take photos. Got them. refrigerator hum. some traffic sounds - still early; people sleeping in, no doubt - it's Saturday. barking dog stopped. - yay! lamp on - do I still need? coolness on my feet, not uncomf. ticking clock: the 'book of time' my mother bought me years ago. breathing still rapid. time to meditate? more leaves from this tree gone. there's a gentle breeze. Rain on the horizon tho' it doesn't look like it. Step out on deck for photo of tree? Maybe. (Did I take one last week? Think so...).
Wondering when I'll finish with MSQT today - remembering that I have to update blog and do BE (monthly breast exam). Time for breakfast; probably Kashi. What's on the menu for dinner? Just a sip of tea (cold) left. In my lap: journal, notes, clipboard. Smells musty...from basement? Rug needs shampooing? Save tea bag and envelope - use on a layout, in Project Life, or an art journal page. Thought about a self-portrait - nah! Eleven minutes have passed. More traffic noises - is the world waking up? Norman's till sleep. Thinking I'll eat b'fast and continue w/journaling - maybe take the photo. Feel flushed, warm. Time to get up & move a bit.
Fun & exhausting but worth every minute. Hope I remember to get sensations, etc tonite at 9:15 pm.
A sunny, cool, gorgeous day! or @ least morning. TBC...
And thus was my journal entry as I waited for and captured the sensations of a moment fifteen days ago. Not that I don't often do this but on that date it seemed to be more significant, perhaps because a) Alexa proposed it and b) yes, I had participated in Ali Edwards' BPC 31 Things (now a self-paced class) too...and really didn't capture the moment at the time, that I remember and c) on 9/15, only two months to go before my big 7-0 birthday! I think we'll do this next month too, and the next and the next... Anyone can join in - just check out Alexa's blog!
It is actually the end of the month! I have met my goal of daily blog posts for this month! Later in the week I'll do a fun recap of September...but I promised to answer the question about Wednesday's Wordless Wednesday post. It is a chandelier over the dining room table, looking up. You can read more about how this picture came to be here.
Have a great Sunday and tomorrow: Welcome October! Are you ready?
Cheers~
