Honoré here: Yesterday, we had a high of 77 degrees - an all-time high record for the date! Today, we've had considerable winds - 60 mph gusts (can you get the drift from this picture?)
We had high winds earlier in the week and that bit of red at bottom of picture is the trellis that was blown over on the deck...
Ol' Phil (as in Punxsutawney) seems to be on the mark, so maybe we will have Spring, on time - although snow is in the forecast for this coming Tuesday...
My friend Margaret and I spent yesterday at the Apple Store in Annapolis; she's in the market for a computer and so we played with - er uh checked out - the new iMac (with it's wonderful 21.5 inch monitor) and also, the iPad.
No moths flew from her wallet (in other words, no purchase made...yet?); I must admit I was tempted (read intrigued with the iMac) and restrained myself.
For lunch, we went to Nordstrom and had a delicious chicken/green apple/goat cheese salad with a champaigne vinaigrette dressing; yummy.
I have a friend who works in Nordstrom and luck would have it that she was on duty...in the handbag department. While saying hello to her, my eye caught this great bag in the color I find v-e-r-y hard to resist. Yep, some moths flew...
In my last post, I alluded to a new scrapbooking venture - it's Lain Ehman's LOAD challenge, which she does three times a year: Feb, May and Oct. The objective is to create a layout a day - thus LOAD - inspired by a daily prompt. Participants upload their layouts to a Flickr group pool.
I have enjoyed this excursion and was pretty consistent the first 12 or so days with creating the daily layout; recently, I've been combining the prompts, 2-3 at a time, into one layout. This week, I decided to focus on creating digital and/or hybrid scrap pages and this learning curve is taking longer than I'd anticipated [sigh]. But, I'm determined to accomplish this self-appointed task. In due time...
Lots of other things on my plate (what's new?) but it's time to go for my daily walk, so I'll close for now and wish all a very great weekend holiday.
Cheers~
