Honoré here: Day 8 of NaBloPoMo. Today's theme is to write about what your dream abode would look like, where it would be, etc. I don't know if I have a dream abode in mind... though I think I'd know it when I saw it. As for where? I like the southwest - moutain desert country - and as I 've written before, a home in Sisters, OR would be a dream come true and/or, I'd love to live in a spot where I could sink my toes in ocean beach and swivel my head just a wee turn to the right and see majestic mountains...
Last week I bought a new printer; it's still in the box. I was looking for one with a smaller footprint than the one I currently own. I want one that faxes, scans, prints, - both paper and photos - and copies. And I want it in white! Not asking for much, I know. My quest for a new printer resulted in my moving a few pieces of furniture in between the two rooms that I use as my studio space.
In an earlier post I mentioned that I'd moved my sewing machine into Studio B (the larger of the two rooms) primarily because I needed a design wall. Studio A, where I formerly had my machine, has now become my quilting quiet room/ library...the place where I can knit, read, hand stitch, or sit and stare out the window. The sunlight, particularly in the morning and mid-afternoon (3-ish) is especially inviting...
The room is small, 8' x 9', and originally, I had a table positioned perpendicular to the wall...
I decided to place the table so it's parallel to the wall...
Yep, I like this better, for the time being. I really think I need a table that's narrower and lower. Uhmm, I'm going to IKEA Friday, just maybe I'll find something that'll work. And yes, that is my sweater back...I finished it Saturday afternoon! I'm now on the front. Making progress.
Cheers~
PS. Also, I've decided to return the printer...
