Honoré here: I really don't think of myself as a real listmaker - you know who you are. Your lists accompany you everywhere and are like your right or left arm - depending on your handedness. These lists are neatly organized and in journals or on pages of paper that are uniform in size, style, format. And I'm sure real listmakers have a system for making, updating, maintaining and using the list to make progress...Some have lists that cover their entire lives, as illustrated in the book featured in the photo with this post. I admire all of you.
My friend Margaret uses 8.5 x 11 lined pads; others use their smartphones/computers or Moleskine notebooks or sticky notes or 3 x 5 index cards or their special planners. Me, I tend to use whatever piece of paper is handy, have tried the digital version and definitely, I'm attracted to clever paper reminders. I also have a tendency to gather ads and other visual reminders as part of my list-making. Sometimes this method works for me...and other times, it doesn't
I think I'll become a better list-maker once I am consistent with the format/tool I use...pretty much wedded to Levenger's circa paper/notebooks. Whatever I use, I best put that list in action...I've a lot to accomplish in the next 27 days.
And by the way, I did my research about Christmas trees yesterday: the artificial ones are looking more and more like real trees but the cost is ridiculous: $150 and counting. "Real" trees are one-fifth of the cost, including a stand...I'm pretty much thinking I'll go live. Still to be continued...
Next on my list for today is to knit some more on my sweater; I"m on sleeve #2 and the right front is next on the list.
Have a great afternoon.
Cheers~
