Honoré here: Life continues to get in the way of blogging...or should I say, too much on the plate and the days aren't long enough and are definitely getting s-h-o-r-t-e-r. Each day I begin with great plans to accomplish this, that, the other; to be more than productive - rather, to be totally absorbed in_________. And before I know it, I look up and the day's over.
My September online classes are winding down and October has brought two new ones: 21 Secrets is in full swing and 12.31 starts Oct 15. Both involve art journaling and one, 12.31, is a kick-start for the holiday season, which will be here in a blink of the eye. As I ponder all the stuff on my agenda, I am thinking I'm like a squirrel preparing for winter days ahead. Would perhaps secretly, even unbeknown to me, I'm getting ready in anticipation of another blizzard. Oh, I hope not. Maybe this just seems to be a lot because autumn is the time of year when we get busier after a lesiurely summer.
This fall I also joined a quilt guild; we meet every Monday and in addition to guest lecturers and workshops, everyone generally brings some project in progress. Nice way to get a jumpstart on a project, in the company of good friends and quilters. A lot of informal learning takes place at a very pleasant pace.
The weather this Columbus Day weekend has been superb so I'll leave you with some photos I took earlier today when I made a quick run to the grocery store.
...monarch butterfly

...and this
...hopefully coming to a tree near you, too.
