Pat's quilt is on the left; Theresa knit Barb's Koigu Ruffle; and Margaret's quilt is on the right
Today was our monthly Friendstitchin' Sunday, a couple weeks earlier than usual because Margaret's going on a mini-vacation. Friends Pat and Theresa just returned a couple weeks ago from two weeks in Aruba---they look very well rested, tanned and had a grand time. We met at my house and t'was great to gather and catch up. Both Margaret and Pat are practicing the fine art of quilting by hand, the last step in the making of a quilt process, used for several centuries until the invention of the sewing machine. Today, hand quilting is considered a real art form as is fancy machine stitching...the difference is the machine does most of the work.
I shared with Pat and Theresa fabric weaving and Pat and I knit on our Top This projects; Theresa stitched a sweater together...Margaret hand quilted...
Tomorrow begins very early so I'm going to call it a day very early...but first, look at some new books delivered from Amazon today!
I trust your weekend was pleasant and productive ... whatever you did.
Cheers~
