Today, the first Monday in April started out bright, sunny and warm! As the day has progressed, the sun's given way to clouds but the flowering trees add color and in fact, their leaves sparkle against the grey sky. As I begin to "pen this post," I hear the unmistakable sound of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team's announcer in the background. Baseball is back! We missed today's Washington National's opener - Norman had a medical appointment and I, my quilting group's weekly meeting. But, our team won! So, we're happy fans!
Mail over the past week was sparse...just the usual plus a couple books I ordered from Amazon. Now that my Flower Garden quilt is D-O-N-E (guess I just can't say that too many times), I am (re) turning my attention to: 1) finishing one last small piece to exhibit at the quilt show; 2) making tea wallets to sell at our quilt show, April 27-29; and 3) making the fabric postcards, shared in this post. In the mail this past week to help was this lovely piece of fabric from a friend. It's so bright, cheerful and I can just imagine that anyone who receives such a beautiful post card will indeed have her day brightened! I know I would!
I am looking forward to the week: to what the mail carrier brings...and to what the weather will be...the forecast is for three days of sun, at least! Do stop over to Sian From High in the Sky to see what goodies others have found in their mail, too
