house is quiet - I hear the tick, tick, tick of the clock...norman's out for a walk ; I should be out walking too but, it's a grey, rainy, chill-to-the bone kinda day...
sitting at my computer; thinking what do I do next?
- blog: when did I last post ? too long ago, I'm sure...
- write check for 4th quarter taxes, due today! and then, go to post office to mail...
- sew? quite a few projects "in progress" - or not...
- figure out what's wrong with the printer; need to print some photos. trying to decide if I'll waste the time troubleshooting or just order on line...wondering where I hid (from myself) the ink cartridges I bought before Christmas...
reading a new email/art journaling prompt. do I need prompts? NO! I need to do...but the prompt stirred my soul a bit...shall I stop whatever I'm not doing (tho' I procrastinate very well) and create a page. I think not!
looking at clock - it's 1:30 pm. time to get a move on...
deciding to spend just 15 minutes to draft a post and then write check and go to post office. yeah! that's quite do- able...

and so I did! I wrote two blog posts that were long overdue, got the tax check written/mailed and decided to order the photos and deal with the printer another day. this morning I looked on the Epson website and did some toroubleshooting; thinking I may have solved the problem: print heads need cleaning and if that doesn't work, I may have to replace the black ink cartridge. now, where are those ink cartridges?!
Simply a Moment was launched by Alexa; you can read/learn more about it here . Theodor Seuss Geisel wrote "Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory." I wholeheartedly agree and I really appreciate the opportunity Alexa has afforded me/us to take the time to live in moment with all of my/our senses.

A very thoughtful and beautifully crafted post, Honoré - I was intrigued to see just how you gave your moment such value and did all those things! A great reminder to make the most of time - and I love the simple elegance of your clock :).

good to see you back here! maybe 15 minutes is the magic potion! I'm seeing it all over blogland this year...and might just try it myself.

Oh I love how you have captured the feeling of indecision - and then "snapped to it" and used a relatively short space of time so efficiently. Thank you for sharing - I think I might need to try that 15 minute trick! J xx
